this topic is under housebreaking a puppy:

If you have any new puppy, you already know that they love to chew. Not just pups like to chew, they really need to chew. Mastication more than entertainment for puppies. It helps tooth and he relaxes. They are capable of alleviate the frustrating and anxiety with chewing.

Destructively Chew typically starts off innocently enough for the pup, but it can escalate rapidly into a serious problem if the puppy is not monitored and directed properly.

This is a typical screenplay:

The new puppy landlord. New puppy owner leave unattended. Pup gets anxious and searching for something to subside with. It is delivered in a shoe. (Or any other thing that smells the owner) When the puppy is comforted by the perfume of the owner. It will then begin chewing the object that the proprietor smells to relieve his frustration and anxiety. As the puppy mash, he feels much better. How much of the armature a puppy derives this activity may not be overstated. The likelihood of a puppy specifically seeks your belongings grows exponentially after even one problem where it is allowed to alleviate the anxiety that way. Therefore containment and careful supervision is so important. You can not ever retire the reinforcement of puppy as he was chewing the object that smells like you.
So what we need to do? We limit and oversee the pup very carefully, and we ensure it has a great toy chest with a variety of chews very interesting. You could use a box or basket of any kind, as long as the pup can easily reach out the chews. There are some things that can go in the box are kong toys, nyla bones, real bones ..... use your imagination and keep it varied and interesting. The first week or two, put a tiny spot of peanut butter or Cheez Whiz on every toy once daily.

So now that you have your toy box set up and your pup is currently playing. Of course, the puppy will select a plaything in the departure area. But eventually the puppy will decide to investigate anything that is not his business. So you should watch the puppy EACH SECOND he is loose in your home early. You don' t want to miss an opportunity to teach. So when the puppy concentrates on something he not expected to have (This includes examining, sniffor turning his mouth over any object that you don't want him to chew) immediately stop him. I used to tell ah ah, as I head to the puppy. After you have his attention, rush him happy and joyous in the toy box, and help them find a cool plaything to play with and chew. Encourage with a little game of tug, or a couple shots.
To do this, every time your pup is focused on something it not have been. I also discontinue and redirect this way each time the puppy looks tables, counters, stove, trash, etc.

If you are consistent, and if you carefully monitor in a few weeks you will have a pup who will always to use articles of the toy box to play with and chew.

Bear the box in one place and never miss an opportunity to foster the puppy to the toy box when he wants something to play with.
